Hi

I was involved in a car accident ealier this year hit by a drunk drinver broke my ankle and 3 ribs and already have a claim in the process which is going fine.

However since the accident i have had to use crutches to get around, now here is the problem, using the crutches has aggravated an old shoulder injury i used to have now my shoulder is really painfull all the time.

I was just wondering if this could be added to my claim even tho my shoulder was not directly injured in the accident, the accident led me to have to use crutches which have in turn aggravated my old shoulder injury

  • Yes you can. (I handle Personal Injury claims for a big insurer).

The insurance company may request sight of your medical records if the excerbation of the previous shoulder injury is significant however.
