tracker scheme versus 2 year fixed

Hi, was wondering what everyones thoughts are on these mortgage offers received today. Mortgage of £110000, deposit £100000, have been offered a Tracker Rate at 4.39% or a 2 year fixed at 4.94%. Have had trouble getting deals due to previous poor credit rating but all debts now paid so really happy today to be offered these 2 deals.

Those rates seem high but if you've had problems and this is all you can get guess there isn't a choice!

    I'd pick tracker
For only a 2 year fix there isn't much guarantee and it is 0.55% higher, even if the BOE base rate increases by 0.5% in the next two years you're better on the tracker.
If it increases by 1% after 20months it'll still be better on tracker.
The people with crystal balls think the base rate won't rise anytime soon
