 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I'd like a solution to this problem too.

A couple of years ago, my SIL packed boxes of greeting cards but I have never managed to find any outwork myself and I never managed to get in on the act.

I guess it depends on what skills you have - I'm told that book-keeping for small businesses is in demand.

If you have any craft skills, you might be able to make things to sell at Xmas Craft Fayre type events or on ebay.

I occaissionally bake cakes for a friend but it is more of a favour than an earning exercise as I only make a few pence. I did notice that there were 'Handbaked' cakes on sale in Budgens yesterday, Lemon Victoria style sponge was being sold for £4.11 - I'm obviously underpricing myself :-) but then I don't have the hygene certificates necessary for such ventures.

I work for AQA and it has been fantastic for us, helping to reduce our debts. It can be hard going at times, but at other times you can build up money really quickly. I think there should be other online opportunities like this, but they seem to be few and far between. The great thing with AQA, it seems to be that if you pass the test, you have got a job and if you fail you can retry next time there are vacancies.

They recruit quite often so it's worth making their webpage as your homepage, so every time you log on it reminds you to check for vacancies, thats how I came to apply.

This is the page you need http://www.63336.com/vacancies.htm

I sell nail products on ebay from time to time - I make £4 profit on each unit and post them on my way to work. I can make a comfortable extra £100 - £120 per month selling nail products, after all my expenses are paid. Maybe a similar little ebay venture would be possible for you?
  • AQA are recruiting in the UK now, so it's worth going for. Just applied myself.
