But personally I wouldn't advise giving recipes to a vegan, whether in a book or off the Internet. I would imagine that they probably have their own recipes sorted out...it is a thoughtful idea, but, I am dairy free for example and if someone got me a dairy free cookbook you can be 99% sure I already have it...same with recipes off the Internet. Usually if you have to follow a special diet you do a lot of research yourself anyway...
I can see where you're coming from if it was a gift for family or a close friend, but for a Secret Santa gift I think the cupcake book idea is brilliant!:T
It shows that you know that she's a vegan and there's been some thought put into the gift, IMO.Penny: I'm a little low on cash.
Leonard: How much you got?
Penny: Nothing!
Leonard: How can you walk around with no money?
Penny: I'm cute, I get by.0 -
I've bought This Babycakes Vegan Bakery (NYC) book for my brothers girlfriend for christmas. They're both vegans, he's seen it and wanted to take it home on the spot!
It's currently £5 on the book people website, but delivery is £2.80. I got it in the book club that came to school.
Could be worth a look.
Lots of "woolly" hats, gloves, scarves etc are 100% acrylic (Bro had a bobble hat from Asda for his birthday yesterday)
As has been said, most of superdrug's own range, and you'll get quite a selection for £5. Avoid body butters and lip balms though.
Try healthfood shops, as they often have things you haven't though of. Apparently vegan marshmallows are fab and taste just the same.First date 10.2.2002
Engaged 18.8.2010
Wedding 9.4.2012
Baby #1 due 26.2.2014 :j0 -
you can buy grow your own xmas tree sachets, also in the xmas card you could include links to the free rice game which feeds the world a few grains of rice every time you play the game. you could also fill a global warming coffee mug (novelty) with a par of organic cotton socks0
