Hello,
Having just gone through the Lloyds recruitment process, thought I'd finally get round to registering to answer your query!
The same thing happened to me - when I went in to meet the manager (local director in my case) he wanted to double check a couple of things I'd said in my interview (evidence of meeting targets) and have a general chit-chat of what was expected of me in the role. The main purpose of going in seemed to be to negotiate a starting salary.
As long as it was the recruitment team that offered the job over the phone, you should have no worries. Good luck in your new role - from what I've seen so far, it's a demanding place to work, but you get out what you put in so to speak!
