So we had letters sent home informing us of a team meeting on Monday, all need to attend.

We've had 6 redundancies in the USA office, which I only found out from a colleague in that office, no official announcement.

HR will also be in attendance.

Does this seem like they will be making people redundant here?

Sounds like your instincts may be right.

Sorry to hear you're feeling low. I've just been made redundant myself and it stinks. It took me a few weeks to work through my emotions, and that was with a good support network around me.

and I've only been here a year now, so nothing apart from notice will be paid. Its really rubbish that they've left this till after the weekend.

Gotta keep thinking positive, I guess..

Hopefully, might be the official announcement of the redundancies elsewhere and just letting you know the good news that your workload has trebled.
