Hi, Im not sure I am calling it the right name, but I used to work for a contract cleaning company i took 5 months maternity leave and I told my supervisor well in advance of the date I wanted to come back to work, i arranged to collect the key from the woman who was covering for me, when i arrived at the depot she did not know anything about me coming back and thought she had a permanent job, i stupidly agreed to one weeks wages and not to go back, was I wrong to do this? is there anything I can do about it now? it was 18 months ago

I'm afraid you are well out of time. There is a strict three month time limit in which to launch employment tribunal claims and this is rarely extended.
By the sound of it your "agreement" to a weeks wages would not have been legally binding so you could have taken action despite this had you done so at the time.0
