lollipop or sweet trees

Sincere apologies to everyone if I've posted this in the wrong place!
Am looking for a little advice please. I've made lollipop trees to give as Christmas gifts this year. I'm also making a lindt chocolate tree & a ferrero rocher christmas wreath so here is my question.
The lollipop trees are fine to make in advance as I'm not opening the wrappings in any way, however the Lindt & Ferrero Rocher need a cocktail stick poked through which will obviously pierce the wrapping. If I make them now, will they last, do you think, until Christmas or should I leave it until maybe the beginning of December?
Your thoughts would be much appreciated, thanks :o

  • I've tried cocktail sticks with ferrero rocher and I'm left with an oasis ball with a load of cocktail sticks hanging around and some balls of chocolate on the floor! Maybe my bad styling, but I'm going with super glue now and that's working much better, plus you don't have to pierce the chocolate.

    Hope that helps!
  • I use a glue gun to stick wrapped sweets on so much better than cocktails sticks as you dont have to pierce the chocolates and they dont fall off like they do on the sticks xx

Thank you so much for your replies. I should also have said that I make mine using tissue paper flowers with the chocolates as the flower centre. This is why I use the cocktail sticks. Thinking outside the box though, maybe glue would also work? I'll give it a go. Thanks again

I used glue for the chocolates, and had fabric flowers which I attached with pins. The middles look shiny then! Good luck!
