    Mine turned up this morning too! but, is a pre loaded with a little bit of credit? is it usable for like one free journey or summat?

    The "free" nature of the offer is that you are not paying a deposit (normally £3) for the card. You still have to pay for any journey.

    The other way of avoiding the £3 is to buy a longer-term travelcard.

    this is probably a daft question but Im not from London.

    Can you get one of these for a child ? as it is difficult to by daily tube passes for children unless you want to queue. We normally end up getting an adult daily tube ticket for my DD on the odd occasion that we go to London.

    Changes from 1 April 2007

    Under 11s - accompanied children under 11 can now travel free all day, every day on the Tube and DLR.
