Care Home Claims

I am attorney for my auntie and have been advised by Care Home Claims and their partners, Keypoint Law, that I have a good chance of reclaiming her care home fees. However, their "no win no fee" contract seems to be very complicated and I wonder if anyone else has had dealings with these people.

Keypoint Law and Care Home Claims are notorious liars, they will charge a huge fee and your Auntie will not be able to reclaim ANY of the care home costs...
... now, explain to me why forum posting is a quality way to drum up business?0 -
Do these people think we are stupid.
Reported as SPAMmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

When this company 'advised' you of this good chance of claiming, did you contact them or did they cold-call you? :cool:0 -
You can reclaim the Nursing amount of Care Home Costs at present but these are dealt with by local authorities. Any one who tells you you can reclaim all costs should be avoided.Back on the trains again!0

I completed a questionnaire supplied by Care Home Claims, as advertised on television, and was then contacted by Keypoint Law who said that they believed we had a good chance of claiming back costs and that they were prepared to act on our behalf, subject to signing an agreement with them i.e. "No Win no Fee", but this seems too good to be true. Thank you for all your observations.0

You need to read the sticky on the Over 50's Forum about care
costs. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/800521
I think you also need to read this thread from MSE.

I saw the company advertised on television, completed an online questionnaire (all before the 30 September 2012 deadline). We have now received the details of the "No Win No Fee" contract, but this is so complicated, I feel we need a solicitor just to go through the paperwork with us before we are able to sign. I don't want to waste my auntie's money if this is going to leave her out of pocket. When this company 'advised' you of this good chance of claiming, did you contact them or did they cold-call you? :cool:0 -
Hi I have tried before to reclaim my mothers care home costs when it was proven the hospital had no beds and they put her in a care home, they did start paying the costs, I admit we did give up after trying a few times, and now as she has been dead since 2003, DOES anyone know if I can still look at reclaiming. It is about £25,000, has anyone tried a successful no win no fee lawyer, I live in the Devon area, as trying our self, they even billed me a further £500 but I have not paid it and they have not come after us for it.0

have you read the posts in the link given by DiggerUK?
I think you'll find it worthwhile.

In the link mentioned above it says the deadline for claims was 30/9/2012 so you may be out of time.
Again, I'd suggest you read the thread.
I'm a bit confused about you saying they (I assume you mean the PCT) started paying and then you say you 'gave up trying'.
Gave up trying to do what?
Did the PCT stop paying?
If so, why and when?0 -
Care Home Claims is based in Wetherby and run by a chap called Joseph Battle
His co-director, Richard Bramall, resigned on 19/11/2012
Both have been involved in some way in dealings with the Axiom Legal Financing fund details of which can be found here.
Not recommended!!!!!Do these people think we are stupid.
