I saw this on HUKD this morning, I didn't post it on here because they're not much cop. Have a read of the reviews on Amazon.
Also Asda's original price of £59.97 is pie in the sky.

I agree. Jabra kit is junk. IMHO Plantronics have the best kit.

I've got the M3500 which is light and comfortable with great sound quality - some guy's got some new ones for £20 I think on eBay at the moment was thinking about getting one for my Mrs, I paid over £100 more for mine!

Had a Jabra BT250V for over a year now and its been excellent. Supports voice dialling and the vibrating earpiece is excellent so you dont have a screaming ringtone in your ear. Also works with my PC bluetooth adapter so I can use it in online gaming as well as messenger

Same here. I can recommend them. I also have a car charger for it. Bought one these from Asda yesterday, but strangely, one box says 7hr talk time, 200hr standby, and one says 8hr/300hr...?

    Same model number and everything.

Funnily enough the batteries were the biggest problem with the two Jabras I have had they never lasted anywhere near the specified time and within a few months had really deteriorated. Not had that with the M3500 and the sound is brill because it's noise cancelling.

I think I'll get one of those eBay ones as soon as I've got my paypal working again tomorrow - he's got them with both car and wall charger so a bit of a bargin.

Never had a problem with battery life. Unused it easily lasts 7 days. having it connected for 2 hours a day I have to recharge after 4 days.

I've got a Jabra BT200, now that is useless, call quality is like a walkie talkie and the battery life is a joke, I'd never buy another Jabra product.

Unfortunately looking at Amazon and this thread brings it home that some people love this manufacturer, and some people hate it. Sadly in that situation I would usually tend to not buy the product, despite the howls of "it's never let me down in x number of years" by the supporters.

If a product is only good for 50% of users, that's a 50% chance that I would subsequently wish that I hadn't taken advantage of this particular "bargain". Let's face it, most of the bargains on MSE are things that we don't actually need, and I think this product fits into that category for most of us

I appreciate infernalaffairs bringing it to our attention, but I also very much understand why simate decided not to bring it to our attention, under the circumstances ;)
Thanks to all who post constructively.

  • I swear by my Southwing SH305, it's tiny, battery lasts for ages, selectable ringtones, last call redial, one preprogrammed number, voice dialling, interchangable covers. And usually about £15 on ebay, or £17.99 at mymemory.co.uk. I have 2, one for my work phone and one for my personal phone. I think if they both go off at the same time I will turn automatically into a cyberman.

    Cheers

While we are on the subject of bluetooth headsets, can anyone recommend a product that is both a bluetooth headset and a headphone? So I can listen to music and talk using the same headset/hearphone.

Because the problem with headsets is that they only play music to one ear...

    Thanks,
    Pete.
