Be quick. I've shopped with Tesco online for years, regular once a week. Always had priority choice with the xmas delivery slots. Had a letter last week saying they are giving priority to people who have signed up to their Delivery Saver option (where you pay for your delivery upfront).
Really annoyed about this. Years of shopping with them too. We aren't in a position to sign up to their delivery saver at the moment.
So will shop somewhere else!

so prioity customers receive the slots first? thats not fair0

And I don't think that is a very fair:(0

Well there will be no slots the time we receive them. Anyway Im thinking of booking my slot for 21st december do you think all my vedgetables will be ok to get them on that date ??0

yes the veggies should keep fine if you keep them cool
I have started using abel and cole/riverford farm again for veg and I find their veg keeps a few weeks, much longer than supermarket veg0 -
I also received the threatening letter from tesco telling me that despite spending over £500 with them a month I am not entitled to a Christmas delivery slot unless I sign up for prepay delivery, now I know it would be cheaper and was considering doing it but I will NOT be TOLD to do it and threatened and bullied into it! Is this what they call good customer service? Anyone know the email of whichever idiot thought this one up?0

oh thats mean of them

Disgusted with Tesco! Like you say, bullying people into signing up is just wrong.
It was something we were going to look into but we've had to re-think our shopping situation so haven't shopped at Tesco for the past 2 weeks.
Not happy!

They advertised this from the start with the prepay option so not sure why it has come a surprise to some.
Maybe the letter has been sent out to those that would n the past have got priority booking just to remind them of the option so they do not miss out. Surely if you order every week it would save you money to sign up for it as well.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
3 month plan is £36
6 month plan in £60
All orders must be £40 or more and you can have one order per day.
That works out at £2.50 per weekly slot if paying up front for 6 months.
If you have your shopping delivered at weekends that's a big saving as you can pay £6 for a slot then. Not such a big saving if you tend to pay the lowest £3.50 slot on Tuesday/Wednesday evenings.
They are offering extra deals if you are a new customer
