short time working holiday entitlement

Hi all just a quick question I work for a large company but we were called in to a meeting yesterday and told our working week will be reduced by 2.5 hrs from Monday which is fine to secure everyone's jobs. The problem lies in my holiday entitlement which runs from jan to jan we have been told any days used now will reflect the reduction of the short time now I have always kept 5 days to have off over Christmas which will be paid with the reduction but if you have used all your holidays before yesterday you have been paid the full value of them this just seems not right as you have worked to accrue these days.
Has anyone had any experience of this or know anything
