Leaving the bank for new job(apprenticeship)....

Currently working for a bank, not enjoying it at all been with them for 5months, lack of training, some staff patronising, dont believe in the products etc etc

So going to leave and for time being going to just get any old job just for an income still, but i would love to do an apprenticeship in something, how do i go about getting one whilst still earning?

Or who are employeers that do this sort of thing, already applying to BT(british telecom) as they do apprenticeships, any ideas on other companies?

Or anyone currently doing an apprenticeship?

    Hi James,

Most of the utility providers do apprenticeships, I know National Grid do as my Dad helps train them, and for other companies if you have a search around their websites you should find some info.

    Good luck! x
    Gone ... or have I?

    Hi James
Try your local council as a friend I know tried this for her son and he was taken on as an apprentice. I understand what you ase saying about the bank as I used to work for one and seen the lack of training but also the sell sell sell attitude.

lol. same here, sent your a message, not sure if you've seen it.
  • Apprenticeships are hard to get. Get a job that you like until you secure one.
In the meantime you are doing something that you don't mind doing, getting paid for it and can still apply for apprenticeships.
