Using CC between exchange and completion?

Were hoping to exchange on a property on Monday and then complete on the Friday, we need to buy some stuff for the new house using a credit card, would there be a problem doing this between exchange and completion? Are Nationwide likely to carry out another credit check before releasing the funds?
Were moving into the house on the same day as completion so will need a lot of items beforehand!
Thanks

I personally would not spend on my credit card until the day after the completion date0

rhionm/Essex22011,
I'm a bit confused by your discussion. Isn't it that 'not paying off in full' or a default on the credit card that matters to the mortgage provider?
Surely, if I'm using a credit card and then paying off in full, then whatever may be the amount of spending should not be a problem.
Any experts able to help here?

USING a credit card is fine.
APPLYING for a new one between application and completion is the no-no.I am a mortgage broker.
