I want to sell a violin

Sadly not a Strad or Guarneri, but it got me to Grade VIII and through various amateur orchestras, so it's a reasonable quality fullsize one with a decent enough tone. No labels to identify the maker. Think my parents paid £100 for it back in the Seventies. What's the best way to value it and sell it?

Google a violin dealer nearby and take it in to them for appraisal. They'll tell you whether it's worth enough to sell through them, or to just advertise it in the local paper/ebay etc. HTH!0
