No Work

Hi a little advice please, I have been working for three seperate agencies driving for the last 6 months however it has been erratic and for the last three weeks I have had no work at all. I have signed on this monday past and have my jobseekers interview tomorrow.
I have worked out that I have earnt less than the minimum wage over the last 6 months and quite honestly have found working for agencies very stressful especially waiting for work and worrying about earning enough to pay the rent.
Can I refuse to do agency work and insist on finding more stable employment?
Thanks

Yes, of course you have every right to refuse any hours they offer you, in that respect this is still a free country.

edit. Unless you are referring to some arrangement with the benefits agency, they might take a dim view of you refusing work to claim benefits but if you are not getting any hours anyway you might be able to argue that you are practically unemployed anyway.
