Hi All,
I need to get my insurance sorted tonight (keep putting it off and need to start paying deposits tonight).
Has anyone had any dealings with the above companies (good or bad) to share that may sway me either way?
I can't really see much difference (other than £2 something!) in them, but I'm not the sort of person who can just pick one randomly either...I dwell on things way too much!!!

Helloooo,
I know it's not home or wedding wise, but we have our 7 dogs insured with E&L and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. They take months to get back to us in regards to our claims, and then try to catch anything out in order to not pay us. On the sudden death of two of our dogs they even said they wouldn't pay us the amount they were worth in this event (even though their terms say different) as we could not provide proof of how much they were worth when they were born..... bearing in mind that we have their mum and dad and they bred and had these pups, so we didn't buy them! They've had that info on file since the pups were born here. It wasn't about money but it's when they try and wiggle their way out of handing over money.
We also now have to write to them every 90 days to tell them that our dogs have not got a claim. Our own vet will not deal with them direct as they know how much hassle they are.
I'm sorry I can't comment on the wedding/home etc side of the insurance, but if the side of E&L you are thinking of are anything like the pet claim department, I would not touch them with a barge pole!

We used E&L for our wedding and had to make a claim as the venue ran off with our deposit......They paid out quite quickly, Thankful as we had to put another deposit down somewhere else.0
