Am hoping to be making some flavoured vodka for presses this year, I know that a lot of people do these for hampers aswell, just wondering what bottles to use?
I know some decant it back into bottle but I like the idea of smaller bottles, I'm racking my brains to try and think of a cheap alternative!?
Any ideas or suggestions welcome

I'm going to do one for my mum i've washed a used sauce jar she wont mind i will do it up a bit. I was thinking you could look in the £1/99p shop see if they have any nice boottles of pop you could wash and reuse. or sainsbury do a large glass boottle of water for about 90p. M&S do 4 glass bottles of soft drinks no sure of price, could be reused0

I've bought some lovely refillable glass bottles made from recycled glass in TK Maxx (the sort with a gasket stopper type thing a bit like a kilner jar)
ETA - If you have a good recipe for raspberry vodka I'd be very appreciative of a link
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
Do you have a B&M near you? I found in there they sell apple juice in dark green glass bottles with a screw top lid. Washed out there are grand.
Do you drink wine? If so you could buy a few mini bottles of wine and reuse them.0 -

I make a lovely blackberry vodka, it would be the same but with raspberries! Bottle vodka, don't have to go expensive. Empty into container, I use a plastic cider container that OH gets scrumpy in when he goes to Somerset. Add blackberries, enough to come about 1/3 the way up the vodka. Add sugar, never measured it but a fair amount. It sits in the utility room and I shake it daily! Takes about 6 to 8 weeks. Then I decant it back into the original bottle, via a sieve.
We serve this at our Christmas party made up to a punch with some fruit and lemonade.0 -
I know it has been mentioned already but we used IKEA too. We (the mrs) made jams and elderflower for last years' 'extended family' hampers and they had some gorgeous screw lid and old fashioned stopper ones and they had them in a few different colours and different shapes too.
There's also the likes of cheap olive oil bottles for something a bit different!0 -
Go into your local pub or restaurant and ask can you have a few of their empties, they'll have crates of them which would otherwise go in the bin.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
