Is Sainsburys helping to push this months inflation up?

I just been in Sains to get usual bread/milk/eggs.and was shocked to see that 15 basic eggs were now £2.09 .Kingsmill bread £1.35 and 4 pint milk about £1.18....As I was working in Asda later today ,i decided to put items back and get them in Asda..Same items were eggs £1.50...Kingsmill £2 for 2...and milk £1..Thats quite a differance on essential items..unless Asda are going to follow suit soon.

eggs wise that is a bit of a change, last time I got basics eggs, albeit it was a few months ago, it was 18 for £1.89. Have they reduced the pack size?

Though mysupermarket is still saying 18 pack basic eggs is £2.09?

Bread wise, they did have 2 for £2 going, I'd imagine they've done the usual of removing the offer only to return it in a week or two, their Warburtons isn't on offer either, I bet it will be again very shortly.

Milk though, they as well as Tesco and have had it at £1.18 for a while.

The 4 pints at £1.18 has been like this for 15 months.

Though their !% orange top milk is back to £1 for 4 pints!

I noticed that Hovis sliced bread at Tesco was no longer on offer £2 for £1. But it was still £1 at Aldi (or lidl, went to both can't remember which). It may be that prices will rise everywhere, wasn't there a bad crop of wheat worldwide?
