Tuesday 13th November 2012 What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Morning everyone. Was shocked to see no thread this morning. Where are all the earlybirds today?

Hi everyone - I'm a noob on this thread.
Today I cancelled my o2 phone contract, in favour of a PAYT deal, closed two savings accounts that, frankly were opened at a far more aspirational time - and made an extra payment to payplan. That £4.96 payment of loose change will totally make a dent in the 16 grand I owe! :rotfl:
If you didn't laugh an all that.
Oh, found a heap of McDonalds coffee cards too, so the cappucino's on me

Hello hello :hello:
Here's me:
Found £10 on the street
Taking a half day off work to help me get organised around the house and play with the pup
Arranging someone to pick up freecycled armchair - glad it's not ending up in the skip
Got £9.90 expenses paid
Free cake in work
Give OH bus pass later to save him bus fare and his weary legs - he walks about 6 miles a day usually and likes to moan about tired legs a lot
Trip to W1lkos later - use MOC and take list
Checked banking - all as expected
Love it Thatsean - every little helps. And good find on the coffee!0 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us Karb
well it's kind of like day 1 proper maternity leave today, officially finished last week but still doing some bits and pieces so hopefully apart from 2 outstanding calls im done :j my list for today:
Oven being cleaned professionally. At a cost but I'm in no position to do it and it will hopefully extend life of cooker
'shopped' for some Christmas presents out of my box of goodies:D
Made list of few presents and cards left to get
Sorted clubcard vouchers to go and try and get DM b'day present later
Pick up something else I bought through vouchers whilst there
Remember to chek in via £co whilst there
Meals from stores
Packed maternity bag, hopefully won't need it as want to have baby at home but either way everything is now in one place
Checked banking paid water bill from money saved each month
Think thats about all
Rising from the ashes read yesterday's post re getting paid early, have you though about just moving the whole amount to savings account on day you get paid early to transfer it all back on your 'real' pay day earning youre not really getting paid early.
Have a god day everyone
