I have been entering holiday comps recently and i was wondering if it was possible to add people to your booking if you win?
We have a 1 year old that i think it would be hard to leave behind for two weeks if we ended up going half way round the world
Anyone have any experience with this?

I would be quite surprised if you weren't able to negotiate for this little add-on bundle if you won. However, it would be up to each comp host. Why not email a few to test what they say? If you get a positive response, then perhaps just enter whatever holidays you like, and hope/trust that if you win you can pay to add on. Good luck

This is something I have been wondering too. We have three kids (so we are a family of five) and most holiday comps are for either two people or a family which consists of four people, both of which are no good to me, hence I haven't bothered entering the holiday comps. I find it the same for concert and theatre tickets too, Which is a shame

I've won two big holidays prizes. One to NY & the other to Vancouver. On the NY trip I gave up the $1000 in Saks vouchers & added a child, plus they let me pay to upgrade the hotel. It was only £40 for the upgrade but it was worth way more as we went from the Paramount, which seemed a little unsuitable for a child, to the Westin on Times Square.
On arrival we were lucky & got another upgrade to a better room on the 43rd floor with a great view of the Empire State Building.
So all in all very lucky :-)
On the other I just paid the extra airfare & they let me pick a hotel with two double beds as standard. We then just paid for the six child excursions on site.
I'd say just enter & hope.
In the end it will be all down to negotiation & if they stick to the terms rigidly.
If you win & the the negotiations do not work out you are in no worse position than when you started out.0 -

Ditto to this. We also have 3 lads, and have found that 99% of "family" prizes (holidays, theme park tickets, shows etc etc) are for 2 adults + 2 kids
So have steered clear of entering any of them! I know it "could" be negotiable to add an extra person, but how gutted would I be to win a holiday for four and then have them say I couldn't add an extra one! Better not to enter at all I think... although the advice above to email the competition sponsor and ask before entering, is a good tip! 0 -
Yeah im going to just keep entering and hope that i can negotiate with them

I won a trip for two to Paris but my mother, sister and I like to do stuff as a trio. I won spending money with it so they took the extra out of the spending money which I didn't mind because I had been to Italy like two weeks before and had some money left over. They were really nice about it.

Think I'm going to enter all these holidays for 2. If I win, I only need to ask about adding 2, if I'm not allowed then I will tell them to pick someone else.
Us and the kids haven't yet had a proper holiday together so I refuse to take up a holiday for just me and my husband. It wouldn't be fair on the kids.
Now I have a car, hopefully we can think about a family holiday
Would love to win a family holiday, even if it's down the road lol. Thank you to everyone!
