Hi,
I took out a secured loan with Firstplus at the end of November, have paid nearly £1000 to them, the interest rate has gone up twice in 4 months adding nearly £40 to my monthly payment. I have re negotiated my mortgage so I can get rid of Firstplus and have been told I owe more than I borrowed!!!
It turns out you have to pay 2 months interest as a penalty for early repayment and an administration fee of £150 to remove the charge from your property. Is this legal? Any advice would be gratefully received,

It's been done before - they won't bat an eyelid or eyelash in the case of Carol.0

Carol once defended herself on Have I got News for You by boasting that "first plus have never repossessed a house" they are now repossessing 100s maybe 1000s. And if you cant pay they are also sending people round to shout through your letter box. :mad:0

Are they ? That's news to me. Must have happened in the last 12 months as prior to that they hadn't.
How do you know ?0 -
A couple of guys who used to work for first plus currently work for a mate of mine. People are leaving in droves so disgusted by what they are asked to do. The genie is truly out of the bottle:mad:0
