We're Samsung Galaxy people ourselves, but while browsing the amusing mugs for Secret Santa (I don't have the courage) I found a real good price on the tough covers:
Griffin Survivor Case
Seem to be almost £30 elsewhere, I've not bought from them but for £10 it might be a thought.

I use the Griffin survivor iPad cover at the school where I work and they're fantastic! Our iPads have survived being dropped (mainly by me) and abused (the kids!) and are as new. Heavy but really do the job.0

These cases are fab and its true .... Once the phone is in there it can take ALOT of abuse .... My hubby uses his as his case when at work. BUT ..... The case is very tight around the home button which if pressed calls Siri and Siri can often make calls on your behalf without you knowing it .... So if the phone is in your pocket and any pressure at all is put on the home button it can call out .... So word of warning .... Use the belt clip provided. Excellent cover for that price I think DH paid £28 for his!0
