help please!
does anyone know where it is best for me to apply for a loan or credit card up to 1000 pounds? As unfortunately i have been trapped by Wonga and owe them 700 pounds which i want to clear to get back on track again? I have tried applying for a number of credit cards and loans now, so obviously Wonga has messed up my credit rating a little.
Any help would be appreciated,
Emma

Your own bank is best.
Why did you get involved with wonga ?0 -
Even though i already had a post grad loan with them last year for a 1000 pound and paid it all off in full and never missed a payment they declined me. I simply believe its becuase I have debt with Wonga !! any other places I could go?

Your own bank is probably your only chance. But it's unlikely even they can help if you're already in PDL territory.
If you've not already defaulted, sell stuff, get a part time job, what it takes to clear the Wonga loan as soon as you can.
Edit: posted too late, as you've already tried your bank. Do whatever it takes to pay it back. Eat beans for a month and switch the heating off if you need to.0 -
Your bank may likely reject your pleas as financial lending is at it's tightest so perhaps it might be best to speak to a mortgage broker. I have personally worked in finance for years and know of numerous broker services that may be able to assist even if you have faced previous rejection. A Bridging Loan or leasehold loan may be your best bet.
I wish you the best of luck and really hope you get sorted!0 -

I have personally worked in finance for years and know of numerous broker services that won't be able to assist you, but will charge you from 69 to 79 quid to put you in touch with PDLC's who will bite you like a rabid honey badger.every time I manage to get one more breath into this body, I will sing a song of thanks to you my brothers, my sisters, my friends, may your sleep be peaceful, and angels sing sweetly in your ears.0
