Afternoon,
last month walked out of my job (11/9/12) without giving notice. My contract that i have states I do not need to give any as I was on a zero hour contract (assignment) I work there for a little under 6 months and within that time i took no holiday. I have been expecting my P45 and my last pay but so far no luck. I dont wish to speak to my previous employer for certain reasons. What is the best course of action to take from here?
Many thanks

Notice is somewhat irrelevant under a zero hour contract as there is no obligation to accept any work that is offered.
Write to them (get a certificate of posting) setting out what you think you are owed and ask for payment by a certain date (give a reasonable period of time - maybe the end of the month).
If they still don't pay write again heading your letter "letter before action" stating if you are not paid by XX December (two weeks from date of letter) you will begin legal proceedings without further notice.
If still not paid file an employment tribunal claim (form ET1). You can do this free of charge online. You MUST file the claim within 3 months of leaving so don't be strung along.0
