update on thrifting!

Options
well, after my previous post saying i was being made redundant in jan, my boss decided i was no longer needed from last thursday! so i am now unemployed!

i am getting on really well with my money saving though, i only spent £30 on food shopping this week ( sooo pleased - went in to supermarket and shopped half hour before it closed on sunday, got loads of fab bargains!) continuing to bake bread, making cakes instead of buying chocolates for lunchboxes, using leftover dinners for lunch ( baby is loving pasta lunches!)

i have also made £40 on ebay over the weekend from bits and pieces i was going to throw away, fantastic.

we are going to cinema on friday with free cinema vouchers collected from an esso promotion.

we also have beef shin stew for dinner tonight. delicious!

onwards and upwards!

    Hi scampitandnemo,

I'm very sorry to read that they brought your redundancy forward, but well done you for managing so well! :T

I'll add this to the previous thread later so that others can follow your full story.
