Listing qualifications on job applications?
WantToBeSE
I have recently finished my degree, i did my degree as a mature student, and am filling in application forms for jobs.
When it comes to listing qualifications on job application forms, should i include my GCSEs, even though they were 15 years ago, or should i just list my degree (my only 'recent' qualification)?
Quick help would be really appreciated, as i am filling in the forms at the moment.
Thanks.

Depends entirely on their relevance for the post.
If your degree is in "David Beckham studies" then you may need to include GCSE results in maths, English etc.
If your degree is in rocket science and you are applying to be a rocket scientist then you probably won't need to.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Depends, I got my O levels 29 years ago and still stick em in, though that is mainly for the English and Maths0

I have got a MA and have still been asked for my GCSE subjects and grades. If an application form asks for all qualifications and grades I fill them all in. On my CV I usually just put something like, "12 GCSEs all grades A-C".0

I don't think you need to list them all in deatail, as your degree speaks louder, but I'd still mention them as either:
10 GCSEs
or
10 GCSEs including Maths and English
or
10 GCSEs in a range of subjects
or
10 GCSEs all grade A-C
Do you have A levels? If so, you could either list them in detail or again use some sort of summary idea.
When you start out, the subjects are important, as you don't have experience to put on there, but their importance dimishes with time and experience.0 -
Might you need to get through automatic screening to a person with some sense? Eg Maths and English GCSEs as mentioned. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
