My finance was all taken out online (and not through Currys - through Scan) but I did have to pay an arrangement fee before the finance was released (again, all very well documented) - I'm guessing that the charge you have had levied against you is the same. Obviously, I can't comment on your documentation though
Certainly, my documents also mention the charge made if you pay by card - it might be worth your while confirming that there is no charge. Again, this could be particular to my type of agreement - Currys could have a different arrangement in place. My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

I did check, and double check there would be no charge for using a debit card and I was told there would definitely be no other charges other than the deposit I paid if the balance was paid before the 6 month deadline. I specifically asked about this and the use of a debit card as I could have paid the deposit by credit card. I was definitely told 'no charges' so this will be taken up with Curry's. They advertise this offer, if they don't know what they are selling then they shouldn't be selling it. Trying to get information from Curry's is a nightmare. They are masters of passing the buck and hoping customers give up. Sorry Curry's, I don't give up where my money is concerned, tough!!0

most of the updates are recent though.
i have used creation and they are fine. all charges stated on agreement. people should just learn to read rather than not, face charges then give 'advice' on here NEVER TO USE THEM ETC...
for the thousands of other satisfied customers of whom they provide a good point of sale service both as a BNPL or straight repayment, I am with you. :T0 -
For your information, I did read the small print that's why I asked Curry's to clarify the fact that there would be NO CHARGES if the balance was paid before the 6 month BNPL expired.
I haven't taken up any loan, I don't want a direct debit set up I won't need it and they took £64.34 for a direct debit set up fee within 4 weeks of buying an item which is hardly the 6 months quoted. There is no mention of any £64 set up fee anywhere in any terms and conditions. If there had been then I would have paid cash in the first place and not got involved with any credit company. And for further information, quite a few others have had problems with this company but mainly through dealings with retailers not through internet transactions so I think it is possibly up to the retailers to make sure of their facts and not try to mislead consumers.
I'm pleased that there are those who have been satisfied with Creation everybody is entitled to choice. Unfortunately Creation/Open and Direct/Curry's have been anything but open and direct in my dealings with them. Buyer beware0 -
Invoke the Direct Debit guarantee then aa you haven't been correctly notified of the payment. My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

If people are entitled to choose, why are you telling everyone to avoid them.0
