Ipod not showing in itunes

Hello all,
My ipod isnt displaying on my itunes. what should i do?

Try unplugging the ipod and repludding it after a 5 minute wait.

If its still not admitting your ipod is in fact connected, then close and restart itunes (make sure its totally closed and not still running in your applications bar -bottom right hand corner, right-click to close).

And if its still not working try restarting the computer.

If after all this things still are not working you may need to rejigg the settings on your computer, I've done this before but am not so up to date with it as it has been a while- if you ask on the techie forums on here someone should be able to talk you through the process. If your within your first year with apple they will talk you through it on the phone. Otherwise if you take a pen and paper to your nearest Apple store-assuming you have one, and they'll talk you through it.
