Are you confusing an ipod with an mp3 player?

Because an ipod is basically a top range (or at least a very expensive) mp3 player.

But if you want the cheapest ipod then you want the ipod shuffle.
  • My 9 year old uses and i pod touch - you can have music and download loads for free games - great for learning times tables on!

If you do not want new try student computers.co.uk

I got my youngest ds (he is 6) one for £50 off local sale board on facebook, its perfect for his long transport ride to and from school, some great learning apps and games around.

  • EDIT: Just read that you want an iPod touch. I suppose it's less likely you'll find a good deal on eBay but it's still worth a look. I'll leave my post below up in case anyone else can get any use from it!

Last year my 9 year old sister wanted an iPod for Christmas. Obviously due to the huge price that comes with a top of the range iPod my parents and I weren't too sure of what would be best to get her.
I did some searching around for them (they bought it for her!) and found a 3rd generation iPod nano. It's the more square version without a camera or such - my iPod has a camera and I barely ever use it to be honest! It has a few games on it and stores enough music for her. We bought it off eBay for about £30. It was in excellent condition - used, but with only the lightest little scratches and my little sister was delighted! We also got 4 cases for the iPod, it came with the box and a charger also.

It's really worth having a look on eBay if you just want it for the music, as with so many people upgrading many iPod's will be put on eBay, and are ideal for younger children, especially as they are simply for music, without all the internet and gaming!

    Hope this helped! :)
  • Try and get a grade A from studentcomputers, as above ... grade B might be a bit worn to hand over as a gift, although no mention of gift above.
  • depends which gen you want i've just brought a gen 4 from argos 139 cause on ebay they where going for a 100 or more but i also brought a gen 3 from ebay for 50. you just got to keep looking on ebay and learn whats a good deal.
