freecycle! you have never heard of it?
Its a yahoo group, set up to stop people taking useful things to the tip and end up in landfil, and instead they offer items to others for free!
you have to use the item tho and not sell it on etc...
its a great community, and there will be one in your area!

if i know it gonna be a tight month i order all the groceries i need from tesco and avoid the shops (particularly the spar and corner shops) and simply sulk indoors.
the main thing i did was stop smoking 5 days ago which gives me even less reason to nip into the shops. i spent £100 on tesco online yesterday on food, now last month is pent 100 on food but £50 of it wa actually on fags!
mind u when the food does get delivered tonight there will be no fags in it...anywhere... have to do more deep breathing to get o ver the cravings!0 -

If Im going for a walk I have to take my doggie with me, as Im so afraid of her being stolen that I daren't go inside and leave her!
Ive written up my debts in a table, so I can see them going down with each payment, and stuck it on my wall, I keep glancing to Sept 09 when the total is £0 and grinning.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Does everyone keep a spending diary? I find the fact that I have to write everything down does make me think twice before spending it (or it did but the effect wears off when you've done it religiously for over a year
)
Along the lines of what Snow White was saying... a purse or wallet with one of those clear windows is good... stick in a picture of whatever you're aiming for and it'll be staring you in the face every time you go to spend :rotfl:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003Proud to have become debt free... and striving to keep it that way
