Well yes actually it was as this was pretty much what i was short of. but we are straying off the original question which was Do I have any comeback with mortgage express not allowing me access to my overpayments and can they legally change the original terms due to being nationalised?0 -

Technically yes. In your mortgage contract there will be an exceptional circumstances clause. Given that Mortgage Express was nationalised and ceased to operate and function as a retail bank. The clause could legitimately be invoked.0 -
