I bought a hand made (not second hand!) veil off eBay for £17, fully prepared for it to be rubbish and to lose that money - and it arrived and is perfect! It is ivory fingertip length and has scalloped edging and little scattered pearls.
As for a tiara, I got one from https://www.elegantsteps.co.uk for about £30. It's ok but I don't love it.0 -
I've got both but I won't be wearing the veil and I might change the tiara, good job they were both MSE items to start with :rotfl:
The veil was an Ebay bargain - elbow length, ivory with a pencil edge for £13 in the box. The tiara is a Warren York one I got for £30 at a wedding fair

Tiara and no veil, less is more............make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I have a tiara my nana bought me from a bridal shop which was on sale.
I'm not sure about a veil, my dress has crytals down the lace up back and I'm not sure if having a veil will detract from it. If I do decide I want one i will be ordering it from http://www.weddingveilsdirect.co.uk/ using their build your own veil service. It would be shoulder length, 2 tier with AB Swarovski crystals scattered.0 -
I just had a tiara- no veil. I did buy a veil but decided that as I was wearing a side tiara and having a side bun a veil wouldn't look right.
This was my tiara:

I love it, I was going to sell it after the wedding- but cant bear to part with it, so Im keeping it!0 -

I sooooooooo love this! I keep looking at it but can't force myself to buy it, especially as I am just about to change my wedding dress

I had a £8 headband from accessorize and my veil was borrowed from a friend of mine, it had little silver gems on it. I also borrowed hair pins from a friend as I copied her daughters hair do she had for her prom, as you can see in the picture they were placed above the veil and then a few throughout my hair.
Veil was mid length and didn't go over my face.
Here is a picture:

I had a fingertip length veil and tiara, before looking for the dress I was sure I would have only a tiara as I'm not a very blingy person, but having the veil too made my gorgeous wedding dress into a proper "bridal" dress iykwim. Both were a present from my mum and dad along with my dress. They were from the bridal shop though so not very MSE!0
