I have at least ten eating apples that are too soft and wrinkly to eat. Any ideas what to do with them now? Can I cook them, would they be any good?

stuff into pancakes, apple cake, pie, crumble. apple and pork casserole. They will be fine.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0

Cut them up into smallish pieces, core them and add some apple juice, dried fruit of your choice and some cinnamon or ground cloves.Let them cook forn about 30 minutes on a medium heat.Mash them up a bit with a potato masher and add sugar/honey to taste if you need.
There you have a lovely apple compote which will keep for 7-10 in the fridge.Nice on it's own or with yogurt or ice cream.0 -

Thank you all very much for your suggestions, they all sound lovely and I will be trying out your recipes later on this afternoon (if I have enough time and apples!).0

They'll also work well with pork chops - rub the chops with soy sauce then top with sliced apples and bake slowly. Really yummy!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

I almost always make crumble/pie with eating apples to use up leftovers. Remember to use far less sugar as they are already sweetPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
