German Christmas Pyramid

My friends daughter is getting married at christmas and her future MIL is German. The theme of the wedding decorations is a German christmas with christmas trees etc. I just came up with an idea, I've been asked to help, of a Christmas Pyramid on the dessert table as a centre piece. However the venue won't allow candles so what can we do. It is the heat from the candles which makes it turn so I don't think that battery candles would work. I have seen a battery powered one but the price is huge... http://www.amazon.co.uk/christmas-illuminated-operated-original-Erzgebirge/dp/B007TKWQTW. :shocked::shocked: does anyone have any other suggestions. I have a pyramid and would like to use it but not sure what to do.

a gentle fan of sorts? i dont think it will take much,
those little hand fan things (the battery ones) come with a stand
could that work?
my son is an engineering student
i could ask him (but we may regret that
)
he is at an archery competition till later tonight
but i can ask when he gets home0 -
You're correct, battery tea lights wouldn't work - it's the heat that powers them. We have a four tiered one that we bought in Germany when I was just a wee thing, must be 20 years old now. It's a little battered but it's my favourite Christmas thing!
It's nicer to have it turning but if you can't, would it really matter?£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
I'm in Germany and have never seen a battery-powered one under €300.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Think I might have to shelve that idea. We have a few other ideas and I am sure we will find another idea.
That's true about not having to be turning. I will see what the bride thinks.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
My mum had a battery operated cake turntable - would this work as a base? Not sure where she bought it from though...sorryStopped smoking 20th October 2012

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!0
