hi...maybe naughty this one..
hypothetically speaking...lets say you sold some shares that made slightly over your CGT allowance for that tax year....how would anyone know that you are due to pay CGT if you don't normally complete any tax forms?

unfortunately for me I'm not the one with the shares....in fact no-one I know is, it was a hypothetical question as stated to answer a topic of conversation.
