Has anyone contacted Aldi by post?

What was the time frame of you sending a letter and you receiving a reply from them?

They don't have an e-mail address for customers to send enquiries or complaints - I mentioned this in the letter.

I am writing to Aldi as to why their ladies' shoes stop at 7 when other retailers stop at 8 or 9. I am a size 8-9 and my friends all had good shoes and boots from Aldi. I particular wanting their own tone up trainers for £20

  • I also had this problem when wanted to make a complaint. Had to phone the head office number where they took all the details, gave me a reference number and then the area manager called me back.

I made a complaint instore this week and got a response from the area manager the next day. Must say, considering i was complaining about their customer service, they resolved it brilliantly and quickly.

They are a discount retailer with space instore for fast moving lines marketed/leaflet lines and priced to sell through quickly whilst increasing footfall into the stores. They will only stock what they can sell through without leaving oddments laying around, having worked in this sort of environment before you do tend to have the larger sizes sat around for longer and odd sets of shoes here and there just end up separated and damaged when the space could be put to better use. As a business decision it's simple why buy in stock for x size to x size knowing some will sell slower when they can just buy pallets of shoes in cases with more of the best selling sizes in.
