Repairing an apron

I am looking for a little bit of help please.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a lovely apron and oven glove set. Determined to make good use of them I put plastic adhesive hooks on the back of the kitchen door. I didn't think about this before hand, but the steam from cooking made the hooks fall off
.
When the apron fell the tie came out. It is a long tie, going from the waist up the side of the apron and around the top. It simply needs threading back through, but I can't work out how to do it. I know it must be simple. Can anyone help please?

Fasten a large safety pin to the tie and push it back through.0

That makes sense. I am not sure if I have one, but will have a look in the sewing boxes, thank you
Found a medium sized safety pin, but it did the job, thank you. I need to do quite a bit of cooking today, so this will be helpful.0
