Would most people it is acceptable for an unmarried 50 year-old woman to wear rings on her left hand? And what sort of rings would be acceptable/ Thanks.

Why wouldn't it be acceptable, and wear any ring you like.

I don't tend to take much notice of who wears what kind of ring or on which hand. I've been separated from my ex for 8 years, I wear a silver x shaped ring on my wedding finger simply because when we split up my hands felt bare without my wedding and engagement ring. No one has ever commented on it.

You can wear any rings you like - just because it's traditional for a wedding/engagement ring to be worn on the left hand ring finger then it doesn't mean if you're not married you must leave it bare on pain of death or something!
Before I got engaged I would wear other rings on that finger. Now I tend to wear my engagement ring on it but will still wear other rings on the same hand. Don't see it as a big deal - wear whatever you like :)

I've just tried to take a photo of my left hand to show what I mean and I've found it's practically impossible to take a photo of your own hand without looking like one of the aliens from the Argos advert lol

Before I got engaged I always wore a ring on that finger. I don't see why it would be unacceptable for you to wear a ring on that hand. Your hand do what you want :)

yes - any ring you like.
  • You could wear a ring on your middle finger of left hand if you didn't want to wear one on the ring finger . I don't know your situation, but are you concerned that if you wear a ring on left hand ring finger people may think you're engaged or married ?

Before getting married i would have wore rings on my left hand but not on my wedding finger.

I think you can wear any ring on the non wedding fingers, but if you want to wear a ring on your wedding finger, i wouldn't wear one that looks like either a wedding or engagement ring

Seems a strange question unless you are specifically meaning the wedding finger. In which case then personally I would think that a ring on that finger means at the very least you are engaged. :o
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
