Hey Toto, used to be a drummer but havent picked up any sticks for 19 years now. At school I got to Grade 6 on the snare and kit. Mi tutor was Pete Appleby. You heard of him?

Grade 6 is good, do you ever feel like playing again? even for fun? I have to have a kit set up at home, I find playing meditational so it really is my drug. I used to be on the road all the time but during the last couple of years it has got less and less, the business kind of took over and I found myself accepting the same amount of gigs but dep-ing half of them. My OH is a session drummer too, he studied at the Musicians Institute in LA, this was great for me because I got to steal the course from him... free... see I was a DFW in the making back then. :T

Hypno - it sounds really interesting, I wish I could beat my lack of self confidence, because I'm sure it holds me back a lot in the 'real' world.

Lenny - are you allowed to say roughly how long you are away for? I know you can't say where you are going, so I'll just picture you being all heroic in some exotic location!

My good mate is also a drummer. He has a multimedia company and has a few bands. One of them is a girl band called 'Cooky' of which he is part. Think he made it up as something as a hobby for himself - but they are good. They play the working man clubs circuits and other venues on a weekend. There are 3 girls, 2 of which are good looking and quite sexy. He is bald, overweight and 36. Ive told him I think he is having a mid-life crisis. WHat do you think?
