I like the look of the Samsung but, like you, it will probably be one of the others..unless it's a huge bargain!

The Samsung is windows 7 so OH would probably like that more - he isn't good with change and doesn't like mine but the acer is gonna be cheaper and he is only gonna use it to surf the net at home. Mine has all the office stuff etc that we need so his would just be a spare. Bet I don't get it, I have a budget too for it and if its more I'll not get it.

Ha ha, sounds like my luck too. We need a third (lucky) person to take the bargain :D

just come back from the school run - a clear head away from the computer and bargain temptation - will deffo not be going for the samsung - almost certainly will plump for the acer - its not for me, its for my daughter, so i think that will do her just fine, if its cheap enough!!

As a techie, my advice would be to go for the Acer. I think it'll be cheaper too, and I really rate Acer nowadays. It's also an i3 processor, which I'd take over an AMD processor in the Samsung any day.

The Toshiba is 17.3", which is a beast for a 'laptop'

*edit - I definately wouldn't go for the Toshiba looking at the processor. It's like supermans little slightly disappointing step-brother compared to the i3*

    thanks bruticus!!

any opinion on kindle fire hd vs samsung galaxy 2 tab (7") or nexus 7?? or am i pushing my luck? sorry...know its not exactly on topic for here ;-)

Not sure if amazon are doing a sneaky here but... the anti-bark collar was £28.79 i think on the original link before it went live, now it says 50% off but it's only gone down to £20.49?? I'm sure it hasn't been working like that on the other stuff I've bought, thought it was 50% off of the previous price, not 50% off the RRP?

  • yodel are good for me too, really nice and careful young man

my waitlist lola bracelet came up, very pleased as I had put the matching necklace in my basket twice now. It had just 5 minutes to go and I got the flash. You just can`t leave the screen when you`re hoping to get something. I didn`t think I would be so lucky
