does anyone know if the kindle fire is better than paperwhite? i know you get colour pages and it's a tablet but i'm sure someone on here earlier said they used to think the kindle fire was the best but not now

They're two completely different products, designed for completely different things - you can't compare them.
  • So do we not think it'll be included in lightning deals but instead will just be on offer at this price?

    That's what i think.

However, it is possible that the HD could be in lightening deal for possibly £30 off?
  • I was thinking about the HD there actually... think I might risk it and hold off:o

  • HD is down to 159

I'd say the Kindle Fire won't drop any more according to the advert on the main page. It looks to be the deal they were hinting at all week. I would get one now if you want one and beat the rush.
  • 2. This promotional offer applies only when you purchase a new Kindle Fire device displaying the offer message on the product detail page on https://www.amazon.co.uk. You will receive a £30 discount on the latest Amazon price of the eligible Kindle Fire device
....so potential is there for a better deal...but do you dare?!!! They won't pull the £30 off before the Monday 26th November (“Offer Period”). I may find I was too hasty in ordering. I called customer services to check and they weren't even aware of the price drop when i ordered.
  • I just neede to make sure I got one each for my boys who have been saving up birthday and projected x-mas money so took the plunge.
