Stay with Halifax or remortgage with somewhere else?

My fixed term has ended and currently on 3.99. Thinking of fixing for 2 years with Halifax or go to a different lender? Any advice? Thanks:beer:

Seek out the best deal for you.

    How much do you owe?

How much, realistically, would your home sell for?

Rates? I've been offered 3.99 5 year fix with Santander if that's any help.

Unless you can get a very low 2 year fix at under 2%, you're better off with a fee-free product as your mortgage is relatively low.

For example, a 2.39% two year fix with one lender would cost £6,571 in interest and fees over the two years, while a 3.19% fix, also for two years would total £6,091. The latter being fee-free. I worked these out on a £95k mortgage.

So in your case, unless you can get a VERY low rate, you're going to be better off with a more expensive rate if it has no transfer costs.
