I am in exactly the same position with Nationwide at the minute. The house builder has refused to budge on the price so we are appealing the valuation. I bought a new build 2 years ago and never had so much hassle. I think it is just nationwide being awkward.

Really p***ed off at the moment.

So you've paid a professional to tell you how much a property is worth. They've said it's less than what you agreed, thus saving you thousands.
But you want to 'appeal' against that spend thousands more than what it's worth?
    GENIUS!!

You're welcome. Of course it's ironic that you refer to me as a 'pleb' when you're the one attempting to spend thousands of pounds more for a property than what it's worth, whilst posting on a money SAVING forum.
    Love it.
  • Just Ignore Andy I don't think He can read so just had to churp up with useless information that does not help anyone. Brit1234 just thinks everything is overpriced full stop... they don't bother to ask what region your in or what the relevant house prices are for your area or what other so called professionals have valued houses for on the same estate...

    Just Clueless !!!

just does not add up !!!

Your getting a 10 year interest free loan. So the developer isn't going to discount the price by £20k as well.

The other properties may well have been sold at full price with lower level of incentive.

Developers like to hide selling prices behind a fog of mystic. At least initially until the bulk of the developement is pre sold.
