Baby Gift for a Tenner

Have been looking around as I am of the age where everyone of my friends (and me) have got young babies, what do you think of these for a Christmas gift?
ebay item number: 190751469685
If not these then any other ideas?
Don't want to spend more than around £10 on each as there is enough babies to make me skint!
Cheers!

Those are really cute
handy for cold weather.
Primark do nice affordable outfits for 0-24 months for less than a tenner....just a thought if you're trying to save money & the stuff washes well too.Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -
They're very cute

I'm in a similar boat to you - I stopped drinking tap water at one point this year as everybody seemed to be getting pregnant :rotfl: I've bought a mixture of soft books like this one, some outfits from Primark, and Spot the Dog books - it's this one but it was cheaper in Tesco (£5 I think)0 -
What im doing for a baby in my family is making a little clothes and toys hamper as he's only 10 months at christmas. So its hardly worth money or time / effort in making this crimbo special xFuture goals:

ah cool, yeah not seen that JellyCat do books, they seem fairly popular. Without sounding stupid, I went out shopping on Saturday and it was a nightmare, so many people, especially in Primark, just made me feel ill, I hate the fact its so crowded so plan on buying online to be honest.0

I'd say books too, you can never have enough books or my LO loves comfort blankets/cuddly toy. She has 5 of them so they are all over the house and in car and pram.0

I got a gorgeous boofle baby dinner set with a sippy cup plate and spoon from home bargains the other for about 2.99 looks a really expensive gift too about 10 pounds from clintons so I have bought that and a few other bits for a couple of babies in the family0

depends on how old the babies are but I can recommend any of the lamaze toys
ds had Lamaze Play & Grow Peacock & elephant for his 1st xmas last yr and still plays with them lots of different ones to chose from under £10 and amazon often has them at great prices
books are always a good choice & thats not my books are usually a big hit
clothes can be a tricky issue unless you know the parents taste well and know they will actually use what your brought
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
You can get lovely baby shoes from Twinkle Toes
http://www.mytwinkletoeshoes.co.uk/
They are about £5.50, postage is £3.25 for the first pair and 50p after that so better value if you are getting a few pairs. There are usually discount codes around if you search.
They come in an organza bag and I think they make a lovely gift, I bought them for my children and have given them as gifts too. They are great for babies who are crawling or starting to walk.0 -
Its so worth making Christmas special for baby's esp if its there first. I tend to buy a cheap little toy depending on when there birthday is so it lasts a bit longer. Then buy a keepsake for the parents to keep.
It was my DS first Christmas last year and he was only 6 weeks old yet no one bothered with him or to make it special as he was so small. I was heartbroken. We dont have many first and they go buy so fast and babys grow so fast enjoy them being small.0 -
Touch and feel books - the "That's not my [whatever]" series.
Frankly, the baby is not going to care so buy whatever you think the parents would appreciate for their child. Toughened/board books are always good. And clothes the next size up. Only one person ever bought clothes the next size up for my elder child - it was the most thoughtful thing ever.0
