Hoping someone can help, we are doing the Polar Express at Weardale Railway at the end of the month.
We've got quite a drive and I've been trying to find a shopping centre ideally indoor with a play area so the children can let off steam, we can eat and a little shopping.
Really struggling to find anything like this so any help is gratefully received.

Thanks for your reply .
That's a very good point re. direction! We are coming from Nottingham, not sure of route as yet.
I think that place ticks most of the boxes, I think it's not "indoor" rather undercover. Being a southern softy I'm a bit worried I'll get cold.

There is The Gates in Durham itself, although it looks like there isn't a play area for children there.
If you fancy travelling a bit further up the road there is the Metro Centre on the outskirts of Gateshead.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0
