Christmas Biscuits

Hello all,

I'm looking for a tasty Christmas biscuit recipe and I'm hoping you can all help me!

I need it to be simple, the type you can roll out and use cutters with, but actually taste nice too! lol I bake loads of cakes, but not many biscuits so would love a tried and tested recipe. Nothing with those lovely Christmas spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, clove etcd) as hubby doesn't like them (weirdo!). Orange might be nice.... But just something I can make with my DD, but that people would like to eat afterwards! lol

Thanks in advance,

Clare x

  • Sorry, I have no advice but an orangey xmas biscuit sounds lovely so I'll be watching out for peoples replies and making them too :)
  • These are nice and would be christmasy if you used bell/tree/star cutters...you can use whatever type of jam you like for the filling.

Only thing I would add to the recipe is that they're easier to roll/cut if you refrigerate the dough for a while before rolling it.

Oooo thank you. Good start! Are they nice enough without the jam? Just thinking that there might be icing flying about for decorating, and being hole-less and jam-less might be easier!

  • I don't think I'd have them without anything on because they're a bit plain, but with some icing decoration they'd probably be nice. Also, you could add a bit of flavour to the dough by adding some grated lemon or orange zest.
