  • Bye the way I checked and double checked my list for a shop this morning at asda. I got the Fairy washing liquid which compared 3 bottles to £2.. But I also bought 6 brussels pate which shows on MSM as on offer 3 for 2 at tesco. But on APG it showed the pate as N/A. This is terrible. A shame as we ate a lot of pate in my house. its nice on toast with a bit of branston pickle on the side for supper.
    Hello, Welcome to the fun! Read the thread back, or at least the last 10 pages and the first 2 for helpful advice and current details. Don't be afraid to ask if your questions are not answered by reading back and by using 'search thread' button. I read that it is rare that the 3 for 2 or BOGOF offers compare. Most come back N/A. The 2 for 3.00 offers, or 3 for 4.00 offers generally do compare. (Thanks aau1 et al.)
    You have to bear in mind that we play the supermarkets' at their own game and they set the rules, which can and do change at any time! Have another go using someone else's results as a guide. And enjoy.:)

    Afternooneveryone - anyone else having problem with tiscali/tinyworld email access?
    (Edit for some reason after clicking save and posting a lot of the words joined up - and I did proof read - probably cos I copied and pasted - so amended and much better to read now)

    Can any one help? Having a mare re my email address –and am being caught in an 0870 number whirl with talk talk and appear to beat an impass . I was unable to log in last night and kept getting the message ‘invalid user name or password – please try again’. Kept trying and hubby has tried this morning all to no avail. Husband got telephone number for customer services while I was at radiography. Unableto sort online as query page demands talktalk telephone number which we don’ thave - I have an old email address – tinyworld.co.uk which I have kept because everyone knows it! When tinyworld went bankrupt the responsibility for that address went over to another provider (whose name escapes me ) these then became tiscali and then talk talk since 2009 – always on takeover you get an email saying should experience no changes just in name. We have always had virgin phone and broadband – indeed tinyworld never provided phone lines.

    So I called - waited 20 minutes to speak tocustomer adviser – asked for technical help. She asks for telephone number/account – I explained I don’t have one with them but need help with email address, which is with them. She informs me that as my broadband provider is Virgin to speak to them. I explained , no the tinyworld email address is provided by talk talk and therefore is their responsibility as they took this over from Tiscali (and by default tinyworld). She then asked me to hold the line whilst she made some enquiries – and when she came back she said as I don’t have an account with them they can’t verify who I am therefore they can’t help me! I asked politely if there was someone else we could speak to as they have been running this account for the best part of 4 years, and there is important information on there but I then realised thephone was dead and she had killed the line!:eek:

    I tried their sales number (uk)and explained the situation to him and asked who I could speak to (as I wasn’t sure if previous lady understood the takeover businessand transfer of undertakings in uk). He saidhe might be able to help but had a similar call from someone with same problem (tiscali address) that day. I explained I might consider moving from virgin and had been ill but would depend on how well they dealt with this issue. He quoted me some figures which I said I would review after doing some checks. He then said he would put me through to someone who could sort email – transfers call - talk toguy who I think is tech help – he asks for my telephone/account with talktalk – turns out he is from billing, have to explain again. He eventually gives me tech help number (turns out to be generic number)another 20 min wait. Tech guy says same –because they don’t know who I am etc – I explain above and that talk talk been providing my email address and at no time have they indicated that I needed t oalso have phone line with etc – so there must be something they can do? I still live at the same address that we did when we brought our computer from tinyworld.co.uk and my name and bank account details are the same. He then said the account may have been deactivated if its an inactive account! :mad::eek: It gets at least 50 emails a day. I am now worried that it may have been deactivated – inactive could mean if email addy not linked to their accountdetails. Why could an email not be sent advising of deactivation – a "buy our phone or lose your email" in which case I could have emailed all contacts re new change of address? They won’teven advise if I have been deactivated. I am wondering if they are trying to get out of all old tinyworld and tiscali email addresses – can they do this? I asked if I got my phone from them (which I am loathe to do as know they are at bottom of most satisfaction polls) could they sort it – response was best to set up some new talk talk addresses on joining and they may be able to help with tinyworld.co address. Feel like a gun at my head. :( Feel strongly that they shouldn't be able to do this and can normally sort anything out but do not know what the next step should be, feel stumped and what a mare to sort if need to advise of new email without using old one to notify.... :oAny help would be gratefully received.
