Rebecca and Jason the cat.
Can see how close these two are - beautiful pic, thanks for sharing it Dave :TI meant to ask for information on where she was etc in the pm I sent but thought she might no see it so posted it here aswell. Point taken.
Re asking for help last January OH travelled to Switzerland in his vw van and broke down 60 miles away from my sisters house in a storm on a French motorway. My sis was away in South America so could not help. He has to be rescued by French recovery ( at a cost!!) and was towed to a garage about 2 miles from my sister in France.
I posted on the VW forum that night about his plight and a lovely young chap responded. He lived about 20 miles away from where OH was and the next day drove down in his own van and helped OH tow it to another garage that my sister recommended ( and then back again when the garage would not help).
OH was there for 2 weeks waiting for garage to give him the verdict and it was a new engine was needed. His new friend , who is an aircraft engineer, advised him differently and even helped to meet the recovery lorry after OH had come home.
We went on hols in September and met up with him and we took him and his wife out for dinner. He is now my sister;s personal mechanic and a good friend.

Nipped into T's after the bingo this evening and bought 2 Robinsons and £8 worth of dairy to get my 2 fuel vouchers, all going well and lovely until I pick up the freshly printed vouchers and one of them has an expiry date of 6/11/12
So I asked the SA and she just shrugs her shoulders and says keep the receipt it'll probably scan and that they should honour it... Gee thanks that's reassuring, not!
Think I'll phone CS in the morning and see what they say, don't fancy fuelling up and then being told they won't take it.
I'm guessing this hasn't happened to anyone else and it's just my crappy luck as usual?!:rotfl::rotfl:
Ah well, have put my receipt in for my price porkie, hope it's not too late in coming back tomorrow, I'll not hold my breath though!
I in me bed at mo but sure mine were dated 28/11never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
Good evening everyone.
Hugs for Snap-Ant and FourP.
Budgie, so pleased your dad has been really fighting this.
Spiralingdown, good news of the recovery.
3Dogs, amazing tributes, and at a timely point regarding the centers vet's bills.
Boosted (hopefully),my PP this evening, with a 6+2 free pack of irn bru. Hoping that the barcodes are the same as those for the 6 pack, but no 6 pack in stock, and thought it worth a punt! Shame we don't get instant PP's as in NI!
Come on Mr T's, roll that out across the UK please
Night all.
The printed PP is fab. I did 3 shops in a row this evening rinsing the pp each time:)never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

The fact we found this chap was the only wonderful thing about it. It took 3 months for the van to be fixed and it cost a load of money. Still we laugh about it now and when we went in September we got European Recovery cover. Great news about Alan's collection. When Dad went he raised over £300.00 for Cancer Research. Love reading about your car boot trips. Mum loves the car boot but does not really go now as she is not so mobile. Thanks0 -

The red ones from CS are dated 4/12
Make sure you swap them at CS instead of taking the out of date ones to petrol pumps, you'll get longer to use them0 -
